Ha Long Bay is located in the northeastern part of Vietnam and constitutes part of the western bank of Bac Bo Gulf, including the sea area of Ha Long City and Cam Pha Town and part of Van Don island district. It abuts Cat Ba Island in the southwest. Toward the west is the shore with a 120 km-long coastline. It is located within 106o58'-107o22' east longitude and within 20o45'- 20o50' north latitude. The site is 1553 sq. km with 1969 islands of various sizes, of which 989 have been named.
Itinerary
In the morning: Hanoi - Halong bay
08:00 A.M Pick up at your hotel for a bus drive 175 km to the East ( 3 hrs ). Along the drive you can enfoy the stunning scenery of the Red River delta with peaceful villages, farmers working in their green fields, herding their water buffalos, flocking their ducks, trading garden herbs by the side of the road.
In the afternoon: Halong bay - Hanoi
After lunch, you have a chance to visit two most beautiful caves- Thien Cung cave or the Palace Of Heaven Grotto and Dau Go Cave or Wooden Stake Grotto (- where in 1288 one of Vietnam's most famous Generals Tran Hung Dao amassed hundreds of stakes deep inside the cave prior to a battle with an invading Mongol army) and we take a look at the Floating Village of the fisherman and the Fighting cocks islet.

At about 4.00 pm the boat goes back to Ha Long city and we get on the bus to go back to Hanoi. We arrive in Ha Noi at about 7.30 pm. Finish tour
