Hue stop over tour back to the battle 6 days 5 nights

Destination : Hue - DMZ - Quang Tri - Da Nang - Hoi An - My Lai 

This tour is for those who have an interest in the war between America - Vietnam. With 5 days we will take you to come back battle sites to visit the places where you stayed and fought. Or those people wish to find out the hot and famous villages such as Vinh Linh with tunnels, My Lai village...The trip will give you to have a new scence of these places after the war and the way people recover their living as well as visit World Heritage sites in Hue, Hoi An and My Son.

Itinerary detail:  

Day 1: Welcome to Hue & city tour (L)

Am. Our guide and driver will welcome you at Phu Bai airport and then transfer to downtown for checking in hotel. Hue is known as the green city with a World Heritage site of culture, royal architecture and nature. After a short break, you start to your day trip in Hue city on Perfume River by boat to visit Thien Mu pagoda – one of the ancientest one of Viet Nam. Along boating on the river you can see the natural beauty of Hue with the tranquil atmosphere. Next is the van trip to visit the Imperial Citadel to learn more about the palace of Nguyen’s Kings to experience of their living and worked with palaces still keep today such as Thai Hoa palace, Nine Urn Dynasty, Phoenix Tower... You will taste Hue special foods at restaurant for your lunch.

Pm: you continue to visit the complex of Nguyen’s Mausoleum which are located outside Hue city centre to the South. The tomb of Tu Duc King and Minh Mang King will give you the difference of last place of these Kings. Return city centre and free to have your own dinner. Tonight you will have free to enjoy time for more exploration of charming Hue city. Overnight in hotel in Hue.

Day 2: Full day DMZ (BL)

Am. After breakfast at hotel, you will be driven to Dong Ha town for your trip to Demilitarization Zone for getting knowledge of Viet Nam war in 20th century. At first is Hien Luong bridge, Museum, Ben Hai river, the 17th Parallel, Vinh Moc tunnels and Cua Tung beach. The driver will ride you back to Dong Ha town for having lunch at the local restaurant.

Pm. This afternoon you will go on visiting Dakrong bridge, Ho Chi Minh trail. You also have chance to meet Paco minority people in the Viet Nam Central. The last place of this day trip is Khe Sanh Combatbase. Then the driver transfers you back to Hue around 6pm. Free to have dinner by your own account. And then at about 8.00 pm you will be taken to the river bank’s to set on boat between Huong river for enjoying Hue folk song. You find your way back hotel after the show finishes. Overnight in hotel in Hue.

Day 3: Hue to Hoi An ancient town (BL)

Am. Have breakfast at hotel. At 8.00 am the driver and guide driver pick up at hotel and transfer you to Hoi An. Along the way you can have more view of local people. Stop at Lang Co beach to have a short break and enjoy the fresh air on the beach. Next you continue your travel pass through Hai Van Pass where you stop to have wonderful photographes on the top of the pass. Here you can have the whole sight of Lang Co Beach. On arrival Da Nang you can have time to explore Cham museum and Marble mountain as well as Stone village here to get some souvernir products from this stone famous village. Have lunch at a restaurant.

Pm. After lunch the driver will transfer you to Hoi An ancient town. Check in hotel and have a short break, then guide will take you to make a walking tour around Hoi An to visit this ancient town with the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, Tan Ky Ancient House, Japanese Bridge, etc. Then you can have chance to enjoy a traditional music show and have more discovery of local people when walk along Thu Bon River and Hoi An market. Free time to have your own dinner. You can discover the charming of Hoi An town at night when you walk along roads. Hoi An ancient town seems more beautiful than with the colorful latterns, shops at night, especially on Fullmoon. Overnight at hotel in Hoi An.

Day 4: Visit My Son Holland - transfers to Quang Ngai Province (BL)

Am. Have breakfast at hotel, guide and driver will transfer you to My Son Hollyland - a World Heritage, now is the remaining with red brick towers and sanctuaries. On the way you will stop at Tra Kieu catholic before you are driven directly to My Son for visiting the ruins of My Son Hollyland where was a capital and religious center of Cham people. An opportunity for you to have knowledge of Cham people when they built the tower with red bricks which noone explains clearly its technology. Here you have a chance to enjoy traditional music performance of Cham people. Next the driver will transfer you directly to Quang Ngai Province. Have lunch on the way at a local restaurant. On the way stopping some points in Tam Ky for seeing provincial capital grounds and buildings.

Pm. On arriving Quang Ngai, check in hotel and free to have dinner by yourself. At night you are free to walk around for more discoveries of Quang Ngai. Overnight in hotel in Quang Ngai.

Day 5: Visit My Lai village then come back Hoi An town (BL)

Am. Have breakfast at hotel then you will visit My Lai vestige area with My Lai massacre village which is rebuilt, My Lai museum to learn about the past and what people here spent where noone alived after the massacre. And then you will pass Chu Lai airbase which is now managed by Vietnamese Army therefore no picture is allowed. Have lunch at a restaurant.

Pm. And then you will return Hoi An Ancient town for spending night here. Check in hotel and free to have dinner by your own. Spend your time to go shopping at silk shops in the town. Overnight in hotel in Hoi An.

Day 6: Free time & Da Nang departure (B)

Have breakfast at hotel, you have free time to get more exploration of Hoi An Ancient Town or relax on Cua Dai Beach if your time is permitted. Then the driver will transfer you to Da Nang airport for taking flight to next destination. Tour finishes here.
