Northern Vietnam kayaking & Trekking tour: Hanoi – Babe National Park – Hanoi

Ba Be Lake is Ba Be National Park Center with likely special configuration contracted in the middle and swollen out on the two ends, surrounded by cliffs with very original and attractive forms and shapes. Through influenced by 3 rivers flows discharging their water into the Lake, lake water remain always blue giving the take both lake and river characteristics. The lake is an ideal place for kayaking and the surrounding area make it a good place for trekking and exploring culture of ethnic minorities who live in the national park.

Day 1: Hanoi – Ba Be Lake – Pac Ngoi Village

Vietnam. Ba Be Lake is a famous Nature World Heritage Site which also called “Halong Bay on mountain”. We will have a stop for refreshment in Thai Nguyen. Quick visit to Thai Nguyen Museum of ethnology to learn about different ethnic minorities in northern Vietnam. Continue to Bac Can for lunch. After lunch, we continue to Ba Be. Upon arrival in NP, we take a short boat ride to Pac Ngoi Village. Tonight we will have dinner and overnight in local house.

Day 2: Trekking to surrounding villages

Breakfast at the homestay. We have a short motorbike ride to the starting point where we begin a day trek to villages of Dzao and H’mong ethnic minorities. Picnic lunch in Lom village. After lunch we walk to Nam Cuong market where we find a nice road along the lake shore. We walk back to Pac Ngoi. The rest of the day, if the weather permits we can swim in the emeraude water of the bay. Dinner and overnight at the homestay.

Day 3: Paddling full day

After breakfast at the homestay, we have a motorbike transfer to Boc Lom Dock for a great paddling day. We first kayaking along Nang River and enter the lake through the huge Puong Cave. Picnic lunch in An Ma Island. After lunch we paddle to Dau Dang waterfall. Paddle back to Pac Ngoi for another night at the homestay.

Day 4: Pac Ngoi Village – Hanoi

After breakfast we take a short boat ride to the NP Dock where we get on van for the ride back to Hanoi. Lunch on the way. Back to Hanoi around 5pm. Trip completes.
